Who are we?
Beecology brings together and celebrates all that is great about New Zealand premium honey; from the pristine natural environment supporting it, to the unique medicinal properties it contains and the unparalleled quality it represents.
What is our main focus?
Bees provide a wide range of bee products. The most famous product of beekeeping is honey, but propolis, royal jelly, venom have also unique properties. While most of these products can be consumed or used in the state in which they were produced by the bees, there are many additional uses where these products form only a part of all the ingredients of another product.
In regard to health supplements or cosmetic products, we are confidence that there are no synthetic substances which ever used to substitute for the wide variety of characteristics of bee products. Because of the quality, reputation and characteristics of most of the bee products, their addition to other products usually enhances the value or quality of those particular products.
Why New Zealand ingredients?
Most of the products use native New Zealand ingredients in our health supplement and skincare formulations. Due to its geographical isolation and island biogeography, New Zealand has developed a distinctive biodiversity of plant life. 80% of the plants and trees growing in the wild are native only to New Zealand.
Three of our core ingredients are:
